About Us

Welcome to I Can Be Design Group, where creativity meets empowerment!

We aim to change the narrative and create a space where young women could thrive at the intersection of art and science.

At I Can Be Design Group, we're on a mission to bridge the gender gap in AEC fields. We do this by offering access to educational programs, products and mentorship opportunities in partnership with various design firms and organizations that inspire and empower the next generation of women leaders in these industries.

We envision a world where women are equally represented and celebrated in AEC professions, driving innovation and progress across all sectors. We believe that diversity in thought and perspective leads to better solutions and a more inclusive future for everyone.

Our Core Objectives:

  • Provide access to immersive learning experiences and personalized mentorship for young women interested in AEC careers.
  • Foster collaborations with educational institutions and industry partners to create clear pathways for women in AEC professions.
  • Advocate for gender equality in AEC fields through thought leadership, community engagement, and inspiring success stories.

My Story

My Story | My Journey

Danielle Nowak - Interior Designer

My journey to founding I Can Be Design Group began with my own experiences navigating the AEC landscape. I'm Danielle Nowak, a passionate interior designer and advocate for women in professions related to the built environment. As a young girl who loved both art and math, I often felt pressured to choose between these passions. It wasn't until I discovered the world of design that I realized I could combine my interests in a meaningful way.

After earning my degree in Interior Design and working in the field for several years, I noticed a persistent lack of female representation in leadership roles and a general lack of diversity in the industry as a whole. This observation, coupled with my desire to make a difference, led me to create I Can Be Design Group.
